A term of head start, then a year of being ahead

The HSC Program works through the senior maths course a little faster than a school classroom does. Students learn in a small group, get individual time with the tutor inside the session, take homework away each week, and answer questions under exam conditions.

It begins in Term 4, when Year 10 exams are done and schools are winding down. By the first day of Year 11 a student has already covered algebra, surds and functions once, which is the difference between meeting a new topic and revisiting one.

Every course publishes its full teaching plan, week by week, from that first Term 4 session to the end of Year 12 Term 2. You can read exactly what your teen will be taught, and when, before you decide.

What a two-hour session looks like

Every session runs to the same shape. Two blocks of new content, bookended by last week’s homework and time for questions on what was just taught.

Where the program runs

The program runs at all six centres. No Year 10 group has a fixed day yet, because we set the time around the students who enrol, so send us the afternoons and weekends that suit and we will build the group around them.
