Mathematics Advanced, a year early

$115 per 2-hour group session.

The Mathematics Advanced program works through the HSC course a little faster than a school classroom does. Students learn in a small group, get individual time with the tutor inside the session, take homework away each week, and answer questions under exam conditions.

Starting in Term 4 of Year 10 means a student walks into Year 11 having already covered algebra, surds and functions once. Every topic after that arrives at the program before it arrives at school.

Where Maths Advanced runs

The program runs at all six centres. No Year 10 group has a fixed day yet, because we set the time around the students who enrol, so send us the afternoons and weekends that suit and we will build the group around them.

What a two-hour session looks like

Every session runs to the same shape. Two blocks of new content, bookended by last week’s homework and time for questions on what was just taught.

  1. 30min

    Homework

  2. 30min

    New content

  3. 5min

    Break

  4. 30min

    New content

  5. 25min

The whole plan

Every week, from Year 10 Term 4 to the middle of Year 12

82 sessions across 7 terms, including the ones that run in the school holidays. The course content finishes at the end of Year 12 Term 2, which leaves Term 3 clear for trials and revision.
