Harry and the team at First Ed are outstanding.

When I first approached Harry to get maths tutoring, I was immediately amazed at his high-quality customer service. Almost immediately after expressing interest online, he called me and then took the adequate time to listen, ask questions, and then find an appropriate tutor for my needs.

I was tutored by Sam for both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Maths and I can not speak highly enough of him. Not only was Sam highly skilled and knowledgeable in all areas, but he was also always extremely supportive and happy to help, even outside of tutoring sessions if I had questions. Under Sam’s guidance, I was able to continually improve.

I highly recommend First Ed for anyone looking for tutoring!

Education First and Harry and team have made the long slog of the HSC so much more enjoyable! Classes are very collegiate and now the Y12s are on the home stretch over the holidays with no more school, the scaffolding of exam practice and group catch ups is so very appreciated. The kids actually enjoy meeting up and studying together with great guidance along the way. Who knew maths 2 could be fun?! Can’t recommend highly enough!

My son joined First Education for both Advanced Maths and Chemistry at the start of Year 12. The small group focus of First Education has made all the difference in both his enjoyment of these subjects and his results. His marks have skyrocketed along with his confidence in his abilities. My son came into Harry’s Mavs First education ext 1 class in yr 12 having tried other coaches. He was in a little over his head and needed structure, mentoring, focus, and a bit of inspiration all of which Harry provided in bucket loads. It’s been a great experience for him, now he wants to study maths at a tertiary level!! Also we’re getting no2 in now in year 10 so he can have this experience as well - thanks Harry and the first education team!

A very professional team of tutors. Both my kids have had great improvements in English, Math and Legal studies. I highly recommend First Education. Lewin tutored my daughter in maths standard. Lewin was kind, patient and able to explore different pathways to get my daughter to understand maths concepts. She achieved better marks! The communication with all the staff, Harry, Luci and Angela was always seamlessly professional, friendly and accomodating.

Absolutely recommend First Education 100%. My child went from a C student to an A student within 2 terms. If I'm being completely honest, I wish I had begun with the tutoring from day 1.

Julian (child's tutor) is patient, understanding and is happy to accomodate any requests we may have. I also found his communication style of responding promptly to parents text, outstanding.

I have no hesitation recommending this business to anyone. If your child needs the extra help, there is no better place.

Both of my sons have received tutoring at the Bondi Rd classrooms of First Education. It has been very effective in terms of significantly increasing their confidence and competence in the subjects of Maths and English. The tutors, Tali and Katherine were attentive and skilled, provided feedback on my son’s progress and were sunny personalities too which meant the boys were always keen to attend. Actively seeing themselves improve in their class test results was motivating and a good indication that the tutoring was a good investment of effort.

The team in Bondi was really great . Very thoughtful and invested in the process . I loved the fact that there was a lot of pro active following up and checking in on the progress of the student . I highly recommend First Education, especially Daniel Agmesheh as a tutor. He really knows his stuff and has a knack for explaining tricky concepts in a way that makes sense. Daniel creates a relaxed, supportive atmosphere that helped my son feel comfortable and confident (and he’s a picky little fella. Hardly likes anyone and absolutely loves going to Daniel’s sessions).
Daniel customizes his approach to fit my son’s needs, so he gets the help he really needs. Whether my son is struggling with specific topics or just looking to improve, Daniel’s dedication and skill make him a fantastic choice.

5 stars all the way. I contacted First Education looking for year 12 Economics & Maths tutors in term 3. My requirements were very specific and also very last minute. Harry & his staff found the right tutors really fast after listening to what was needed. Jordan & Finnegan are excellent tutors, very patient and understanding, and they know the curriculum. Luci (admin) & Harry checked in along the way to make sure all was going well. They have several centres so even assisted when one location was more convenient than the other. I can’t thank everyone enough, honestly, First Education arrived with the life jackets when I sent out the distress call!

I cannot rate First Education Bondi highly enough. The tutoring was outstanding, my son absolutely loved going and Thea (his tutor) was always checking back with me to see if I was satisfied (which I absolutely was!).
First Education also provided extra help during the holidays putting on practice Selective Schools Tests. These all helped to make my son feel really happy with his performance on the day.

Over the last 4 years and through my hsc journey I have had a variety of tutors and tutoring companies - none of which can be compared in quality or commitment to my academic performance than first education. Whether it was the weekend or 11pm the night before the exam, Harry was always available and keen to help with any problems I was having. I joined Harry’s 4u maths group tutoring during the holidays before trials which truthfully has brought up my marks and confidence that, at the end, became something I was proud of. The consistent process of doing past papers and Harry’s excellent explanation for the questions we got wrong made studying for 4u less stressful and more enjoyable. I also did the same process for 3u with First Education which has definitely paid off well! Harry’s passion for maths also made tutoring highly enjoyable as we were exposed to cool things outside the syllabus that extended our understanding. Thanks Harry!

I attended tutoring for Math for both yr 11 and yr 12. It was really helpful as a student to go in every week and review what we did in class + some related questions that helped me better understand the concepts. All the tutors, Harry and Andrew care a lot about the students and try to find new and different ways in order to explain topics and create a welcoming environment. I felt motivated to learn and it was a nice/fun environment to attend every week. Definitely recommend to anyone who is stuggling even the slightest!

My Year 12 daughter missed a large chunk of her schooling last year and needed catching up in Math. Her tutor was amazing, she felt comfortable and motivated to work hard and was able to catch up her gaps in knowledge in a very short period of time. Her tutor and all the staff are amazing. We came to this centre after a bad experience elsewhere and we are so glad we did. First Education took our daughter on without hesitation, provided excellent support for her HSC and were wonderful to deal with. Rihanna was prompt and professional. Very happy with the whole team. The quality of tutoring and level of service were excellent.

I went to this tutoring centre for a year during my HSC and had a really great experience. I mainly had Cierra who was an amazing tutor and always explained things clearly and patiently. On the occasions she was away, the other tutors were just as good and just as supportive. The tutoring really helped improve my understanding and confidence, and I felt much more prepared for my HSC. I’d definitely recommend this centre to other HSC students!!

Had both my children take Holiday courses and regular term courses at First Education Earlwood. We're very thankful for the thoughtful staff there. I can say from my experience of accomplishing the HSC in 2024, First Education was an enormous help in my darkest hour!

3-4 weeks before my ancient history examination, I felt completely lost. My teacher was sadly quite unwell, and I personally couldn’t understand the logic and reasoning behind the style of writing required for the subject.

However, having been matched with a wonderful tutor, it brought so much clarity not only to the writing style, but also the mark ratio to the amount of sources I needed and also the necessity to maintain conciseness in my points. It brought me so much peace of mind!

My son Ary yr 8, was only taught maths one way in school, but there are many ways to teach maths ,just have to find the way it works for u.Jonathan Tudor at first ED found a way which worked for my boy.Did his homework without me trying to go back 20yrs of memory and googling for hours to help my son. Jonathan is great , friendly, respectful and his teaching methods work. I'm glad we got him and didnt have to go tudor Hunting. Can't put a price on my kid, esp when results were 4 weeks in with FD was 26/35 in maths test ,b4 4weeks it was 5/30 and he studied for this one, confidence wasn't an issue but how to save knowledge as a memory tool was for my son. They gave support and patience while Going through crisis.

By far my favourite part of year 12. Harry taught the maths content amazingly and made it so much fun. If it wasn’t for first education I wouldn’t have been prepared for the hsc as much as I was. Without a doubt the best place to be tutored, I was tutored at first ED for maths throughout my schooling experience. Without the extensive support I received I wouldn’t of been able to receive the band 6 I acquired. Other than highly educated tutors, the culture at first ED was something that made me look forward to going tutoring weekly. Additionally, the ease of building relationships with my tutor made my stressful years of exams that much easier. First education had been fantastic and has helped my son advance in 2u maths. My son has developed more confidence in himself and the good results are showing in his school assessments. The tutors are friendly and very knowledgeable and work very professionally in helping the students understand the concepts rather than just wrote learning answers to problems. I recommend first education to anyone wanting to improve their subject knowledge to gain every advantage in the HSC.

My son Peter took so well to first education that he advanced so much, that he was eventually asked to be a tutor. He tutored Maths for 4 years at First Education and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there and helping the young students advance in their math studies.

My son has now nearly completed hi maths secondary teacher degree and has been offered a job at Holy spirit and unfortunately is unable to continue as a tutor. Because of First Education he has become an exemplary teacher, who is now very sought after at most high schools and he is doing absolute wonders in helping other children in their maths journey.

I am forever indebted to Harry and his team at First Ed who are first class and very professional in the way they go about their business. They have been great to deal with and I wish them all the best in their future success in helping many teens reach their goals in life as my son has.

I reached out to First Education at different times through out the years, every time we were immediately supported (even mid term), an appropriate tutor was found and results have improved. First education offers comprehensive lessons in group or with private tutor, supports for OC exams as well as selective school exams and of course support with all the subjects of the school curriculum. Thanks to them both boys went to selective high school classes. Now one is preparing his HSC and additional sessions have helped him boost his knowledge as well as confidence. I cannot recommend First Education more!

My daughter was really struggling with her English and maths and losing confidence and falling behind. After one term her marks improved , after two terms that improvement was impressive! Sofala was our Maths tutor and I can highly recommend her. Both my girls grades improved and they both told me Sofala was better than some of their teachers. As an ex-student of First-Ed, if any parents or students are looking to get tutored here I highly recommend it. All the tutors and centre managers are always happy to see you and help you gain confidence in whatever you’re studying. My son, Benjamin has been very pleased with his tutoring lessons since he started in 2022. He believes it has been extremely helpful to get him through the past two years. Emanuel was Ben's tutor and Ben said he was very good. He understood everything Emanuel taught & found himself helping his fellow students when they needed help. Emanuel is friendly & easy to communicate with. First Education has also been very understanding, working with me to find a better payment plan that suited us, to make transactions easier. We have had one to one tutoring for a whole term- my son really enjoyed his teaching sessions with his tutor. In the school holidays however, he did the Naplan prep courses (4 sessions over 2 days) and absolutely loved it - he raved on about Natalie and when I came to pick him up on the last day, he did not want to go home!
From my side, the exams were a good reflection of what he will be expecting this year and the immediate feedback I think is also helpful! We now have areas of improvement to work on!
We will definitely at the very least be back for all the holiday workshops!

At the beginning of my HSC year I was tutored by Thomas for English, my marks had changed dramatically. He not only helped me gain an extensive amount of skills but gave me the confidence and courage I needed to push myself, which gained the marks I was striving for. I highly recommend First Education Maroubra to any student who is looking for extra confidence in their subjects. Harry and his team of tutors are very motivated and enthusiastic about the subjects they teach, making the learning experience more enjoyable. After just completing the HSC, I can confidently say that my marks would have been very different without the community at First Education. From being able to sit practice papers in the holidays (free of cost), their large variety of teaching resources and complete and ongoing support, I couldn’t recommend this tuition service enough!

First Education is a friendly environment that has dedicated staff and professional tutors who are positive, intelligent and truly care about their students, giving them the confidence to do their best. It is also very beneficial that students are given the opportunity to sit as many practice exams as they would like at the centre before trials and the HSC, making these time periods less stressful. I highly recommend First Education!

First Education has been one of the best investments in helping our son achieve his highest potential. With Joanna’s help in Advanced Maths he has developed a solid understanding of the subject and will walk into the HSC exam with confidence.
We are incredibly grateful to not only Joanna, but also to Mary and Harry for the support they have provided; they have ensured we (the parents) have remained connected in this learning journey the whole way.
This is definitely a service we will continue to use to help our other kids reach their potential and I would highly recommend to others!

I have three children who all attended First Education. My daughter in 2019 and currently my two sons one in Year 12 and the other In year 10.

Harry Mav the Director of First Education is highly professional and an excellent leader. He is very thoughtful and understanding nothing is a problem. It’s the little things that count!! He is constantly looking at ways to improve his service delivery. He values constructive feedback. He follows up on student’s learning progress making sure the tutors are the right mix.

Then there is the Centre Manager Mary who is absolutely amazing!!! I can’t sing her praises highly enough. Nothing is a problem she will ALWAYS find a way to accommodate your child’s needs.
Mary is efficient, compassionate, positive and professional. She will follow up making sure your child is happy with their tutor. If there is an issue she will come up with strategies to resolve
it.

The tutors are well resourced and dedicated. Always encouraging the child to learn, in a positive manner, to reach their full potential.

I can’t recommend Harry and his team at First Education enough. Do yourself a favour if your child needs assistance with learning give First Education a call. It will be the BEST phone call you have ever made!!

Harry and his team at First Education have been amazing to say the least. Both my husband and I have been beyond impressed. They have been thorough, dedicated, positive (in spite of everything!), tirelessly hardworking and have given my twins not only the tactics and techniques in their year 12 maths work but also the confidence! They have loved the journey!

Harry Mav the Director is the definition of a true and inspirational leader! His care and compassion was evident from the first time I spoke with him. The Centre Manager Mary is professional, kind and made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable from the start which is a rare find especially during COVID!!

I loved first education!! The flexibility of the tutors and their ability to adapt to each students specific needs makes it a stress free environment. Additionally, the ability to sit as many practice exams as you want before trials and before HSC is so amazing for preparation. It’s a stress free environment for what can sometimes be a very stressful period. Definitely recommend!

From its welcoming and friendly environment to little extra bonus’s throughout the year, First Ed helped greatly during the most difficult year of school. Everyone at First education is extremely welcoming and friendly which made it a very comfortable environment to work in, I’m usually very easily distracted but going here made sure I was able to have a healthy balance between talking with the tutors and getting to understand the schoolwork. All of my tutors were competent and able to communicate their methods to me clearly which made harder subjects like physics so much easier. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to others.

My experience going to the tutoring lessons given by Harry and his team over at First Education was nothing short of absolutely brilliant. My confidence while going through my HSC year greatly increased thanks to the help and support I received in these classes especially in maths, which is a subject I struggled with for majority of high school. I went to First Education back in 2012 for both Maths and Physics. To date, one of the best learning experiences. Harry had a way of explaining things easily that even the content I found hard I was able to learn them. The experience also leaves you with a great relationship with your mentors.

We have two boys who go to First Education and they have been going there for a couple of years now we find Harry and his staff absolutely fantastic with their help the boys have excelled and have thoroughly enjoyed their learning experience. We find that Harry and his staff are on top of things and are constantly calling us to review how the boys are going and if we are happy as well that’s what we love about First Education.

My daughter started tutoring with Lilla this term and I saw an almost immediate change in her confidence. She enjoys doing school work now & is keen to get her homework done to the best of her ability. Lilla has made a great change in her attitude. My daughter loves coming to First Education Maroubra every week. Harry and his team provide such a warm and positive environment for her to be in. From the moment you walk in the office and greeted by Mary who’s so lovely and friendly to my daughter’s incredible tutor who she calls Miss Karly who she absolutely loves and adores, has made such an impact on her learning which she is enjoying so much! I also love the regular feedback on her progress. Harry and the team are truly just beautiful people who really cares about the students and families.
