Keeping Up Motivation as We Get Towards the End of the Term
We don't have online enrolment, because we want first to talk.

We've definitely all felt our motivation dwindle as we pass the middle of the term, and head towards week 7/8. The excitement of a new term has worn off, the deadlines are piling up and the holidays seem simultaneously incredibly far away, but also just out of reach. Keeping on top of work, whilst ensuring that we don't burn out is crucial.
One way we can do this is by breaking the finish line into more achievable goals. Simply "get[ting] through the rest of the term" is a very vague goal for it to be a motivating ones. Rather, we should set weekly, or even daily, goals that feel more attainable and in a smaller time frame to build confidence. For example, these goals may be to finish one practice paper, review one topic, or even to answer 10 questions. These small wins can help build momentum.
Further, it is important to protect you energy, and not only your time. Whilst it is easy to fall into the habit of cramming in more hours before an exam or assessment is due, this rarely does much to help the cause. Tired brains do not retain information well. Instead, short, focus study sessions with real breaks will help you learn content faster, feel less stressed, and in turn allow you to even get more done.
Finally, it is important to remember to lean on your support system. Whether that is friends, family, teachers, or even your tutor, it is crucial to remember that you have someone to talk to if motivation dips.
The end of the term is like a sprint race, with the tension of finishing exams to cross the finish line into the holidays. Remember that you don't need to redesign your whole approach, but to set closer goals, be kind to yourself and keep in mind that every session you show up for is one step closer to the finish line.
